Bob covers a variety of sports, including University at Albany basketball, Union College football, golf, bowling and other college and high school sports. He is a 1976 graduate of Troy High School and a 1982 graduate of the University at Albany and worked as a reporter for the Troy Record from 1976-82 before joining the Gazette. He was honored with the ECAC-CoSIDA Media Award in 2001, is a three-time Northeastern New York PGA Journalism Award winner and has a fifth-place finish in the USA Bowling national writing contest.
